Biomarker of Barrett\'s esophagus; congenital diaphragmatic hernia; epilepsy; peptic esophagitis; and prolactinoma. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including CAKUT (multiple); cleft lip; orofacial cleft 11; ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of spine; and otosclerosis.
